By connecting to your inner teacher, you can be your own guru first and foremost, and even if you choose to follow a guru, teacher or master, you always have yourself to check in with along the way to see if you’re in agreement with their teaching or comfortable with the experience.
Introspection of yourself is the best way to find out that you are on the right track? Your own wisdom and inner self will never miss lead you. Sometimes intuition also helps in this.
Guru is always required to move ahead in spiritual journey. In day to day life problems, sit with closed eyes and introspect yourself that what ever you are doing is right or wrong. you will get answer. But if want to go on spiritual path then one should need a guru and it is said that guru always appears when student is ready.
